Pros
i would not recommend this company to anyone looking to go into recruitment, finance, compliance or any job for that matter. Nor would i recommend it to any hard working nurse who is looking to through an agency. I would highly encourage anyone to look elsewhere than Unity Healthcare Recruitment.
Cons
I would like to firstly point out how terribly the staff are treated in this workplace. Senior members of staff (who clearly have very little experience of managing a team) are completely ignorant to the idea of their team members having any sort of life outside of work, despite having a delegated out of hours team to speak to the nurses. On top of this, members of staff are expected to not only cover, but take over other peoples workload when senior members of staff have decided to fire on a whim that day (despite them being there for, in some cases 1 or 2 days, and others multiple years). I think during the last six months of time time at Unity Healthcare Recruitment alone, a grand total of 15 people were let go, which wasn't at all due to poor performance but a relationship between a director and a very senior member of staff led for that director to be sacked. Thats just one horrific example. On top of this, i know there was multiple threats to numerous amounts of staff about redundancies and being sacked if certain targets weren't met, enough overtime wasn't worked which overall made the company a very toxic place to work. To round this up, i think the absolute worst thing about this company is the fact they cut the consultants commission without warning which led to many of the staff to leave. Many, had spent years building up a desk and a good relationship with their nurses just to have all their hard work be made for nothing. Overall, all i would like to say is that i dont think there is any consultants working there who have been there longer than a year currently which i think says enough about how the company culture is.
