Pros
Met some great friends who I talk to frequently
Cons
Everything else. Some major issues to point out- 1. They pay you minimum wage or just above but offer commission to bump your pay packet up. But if your store is in a run down area, which most are. You'll end up discounting to get the sale which kills your commission. 2015/16 I was earning £12k a year plus £200 per month commission (average). So when you take tax off and outgoings, leaves you with not much. Bare in mind you are worked like an animal for this. 2. I was expecting to dress smartly in a shirt and tie etc but also do warehouse work. Like cutting up carpets etc. Which after 2 hours or so makes you look rough. I was taking in deliveries nearly everyday. Oil stains were a common thing. I was then expected to bring a 2nd t shirt in for deliveries, yeah wreck my own clothes. 3. I worked under 3 franchisees. 1st was great, 2nd was OK, he was flexible but had no support from head office so he failed, the 3rd was awful. An absolute control freak. Spoke to me like I was a mug, shouted at me on the internal phone to the point my colleague could hear them from 6ft away, just awful.
