Pros
Unispec is a company that focused on its culture and the community. Some of the recent Lunch and Learn topics, such as homelessness and Liter of Light, have shown the Company’s support and encouragement to give back to the community. I think it is really nice that Unispec employees have been giving these presentations on such meaningful topics and providing us the opportunity to join them in their volunteer efforts. The most recent Lunch and Learn on Professionalism was presented by our Program Manager and was both informative and enjoyable. Also, the company-provided lunches at the events have been great! Just last week, Unispec provided me a ticket to the Washington Nationals opening game. It was my first time going to an opening game and had a wonderful time! The company invites us to multiple games throughout the season, which are so convenient to attend since our corporate office and client site are located across the street from the stadium. I think the baseball games are a wonderful idea for a company outing and I am looking forward to the next one with Unispec!
Cons
I think the PTO accrual should be a bit higher. It would be nice to have just a few more days of PTO so I wouldn’t have to track my PTO for vacation planning. However, upper management is pretty flexible about working with us if we are planning to use PTO and do not have enough for the requested time off.
