Project Self Service Banking will also allow us to create cost-effective De Novo models that enable us to enter desirable locations previously unavailable due to size constraints. Branch and back offices expenses will be further reduced by reducing reliance on Tellers and decreasing Banker involvement through streamlined/self-service devices MUFG Union Bank has developed a multi‐faceted Self Service Banking strategy for transforming the in‐branch customer and associate experience and migrating branch transactions to alternative means. Initially, the Self Service Banking program will be focused on initiatives to educate / incent customers and bankers to leverage existing capabilities concurrently, the bank will retrofit the existing branch network with enabling technology to expand the transaction migration opportunities not currently supported through current capabilities.
