Pros
-good work/life balance, had a great branch manager in the beginning but a incompetent branch manager in the end (was there for 2-3 years) -very flexible with work/school schedule (was a part-time teller) -great coworkers. but the branch manager i had at the end didn't know anything about banking or our jobs. seemed to only care about sales, sales, sales. my first branch manager was brilliant and knew every aspect of the industry, the company, and the functions of each position in the branch. could easily take over for anybody and assist and mentor us when we needed it. a true leader.
Cons
-customers treat you like sh%t sometimes and expect you to work miracles and change the entire economy in their favor -customers lie and blame you for a lot of things -can be very stressful -sucks if you don't have a salesman type personality, because depending on who your manager is, you may be highly pressured to push sales on people (which can suck when it's clear they don't need the product)
