Thanks for your honest review of your time as Custom Experiences Manager. While I don't disagree with these comments, it should be noted to any potential employee that this position was an entrepreneurial experiment, testing a separate business model, not working on our core business, Under30Experiences.
In regard to objectives, unfortunately, we only got halfway to our revenue goal even after extending the deadline, and decided it was best to focus on our core business, rather than continue to lose money in a new business. As a company, we aren't afraid to take risks and fail, and we always try to be as clear as possible about that with anyone leading a new business unit that there will be a lot of autonomy involved in the job.
Custom Experiences was also a virtual business unit, and we've made a lot of strides improving our communication for our remote staff. We also would like any applicants to know that we strongly prefer when team members are available to move to Austin and can be part of our community every day.
