Cons
I worked for this company for close to 2 years. It started off as alright place to work but things began to go downhill after the first year. In January I had to take UNPAID leave for one day as my youngest sister was ill and unable to go to school, my Mother was out of the country therefore I could not come to work because I had to look after her. I had followed the correct procedures called in and explained the situation to a manager and had taken the day as unpaid leave. During my unpaid time off, I was called by a number of my colleagues only to be told they had been taken off the dialler (where the company makes money) one by one and taken into a meetings and quizzed about my whereabouts and was accused of going on holiday, can you imagine??? My colleagues were asked all sorts of ridiculous questions such as my social media accounts and whether I had ever discussed going on holiday. Upon my return to work I was asked to attend a meeting on 3 occasions in a dark room with no windows for hours on end in an attempt to interrogate me about my sister and was asked really intrusive and invasive information about my household. To make it worse they had googled my sisters illness and printed information about it and attempted to cross examine me with this information. They went though all that trouble for a day that they had not paid me! I guess the case was thrown out due to insufficient evidence. I few of us hit our targets and were never recognised for our excellence because we refused to do compulsory overtime while others who did an additional 100 hours a week and never managed to hit target were praised regularly. We were banned from talking, had the microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, radio and TV taken away. I was given a disciplinary for forgetting to lock my screen at the end of the day
