Pros

Cold climate, so little chance of catching malaria. Inexpensive housing and cost of living versus pay. Easy to get hired here.

Cons

Recommends workers go to their psychiatrist. They consider this area to be "Scandinavian," but it really means there is no tolerance for urban and international personalities. Sent Spanish worker for English classes. Teaches physicians to be overly critical of patients. Many patients are considered to seek drugs. Workers who speak less are considered more intelligent than those who speak more. Asking for clarification reveals weakness. Instead, ask your overworked fellow workers. Don't use the dictation service even though it's available. It costs them money and they don't like it. Don't use the dictation program they give you. It will turn words like "newborn" into "mongolian spot" or whatever. You won't catch it and you'll get in trouble. Get last year's in-service board exam before showing up and review it. Lots of questions will be the same. They give you that test right away. It can make you look bad if you don't do good. They say it's better if you don't study for it but that's not so true.
