Pros

Good admin support. Support staff is friendly and responds promptly to your inquiries.

I joined USTalk in late January, and up until now, I have only taught 2 classes, one in late January and one in mid February. It got frustrating after a while. Then I applied to one of their competitors which is a huge player in the Chinese market. My first week, I had 7 classes. My second week, I had 19 classes. And now, i'm getting 25 classes a week and looks like my booking will still go up even more over time. Funny thing was that at USTALK, I was not allowed to teach Trials because I "sucked" and "didn't know my stuff". Well, guess what, I was given so many trial classes to teach at this other company during my first week and I have received a ton of 5 star ratings from parents. As a result, I'm now getting more and more repeat students.

Pros

- Compensation is very reasonable - Hours are flexible - Students are very cute - Lesson materials are well designed - Salary is paid on time - The management seems very caring and supportive

Cons

- There are sometimes student-side tech issues which cause problems with classes - The time zone difference between the US and China can be a challenge - Onboarding was a little bit slow
