Pros

If Joining as Lateral, your Initial pay will be good compared to other service based MNC's most of the time you will be working in Kerala so free/easy touring on weekends

Cons

Bench Time - Accept they project they give else put papers in 45 days(Proof: It came in newspapers as well) Performance Grading - Limited grades to each account so even if you are well performing you wont get good Grades, it will go to some pet's only. Appraisals - It is supposed to happen by Feb so that hike can be given in April sal but it will happen only in April or May so hike will be in Sept or Oct Hike - Its a MNC so nothing much, usual 10-15% but wont get soon, it will take 5-6 months. Variable pay - its calculated based on a formula, your performance x account performance x companies performance. Anytime you see the internal office mails or events of UST you will notice them bragging about companies they acquired, cricket/football/awards shows they sponsored, new clients, new hiring and a whopping growth of 50-80% each year in terms of revenue but when it comes to giving hike or variable pay company is under loss. So even if your grade is good still your variable pay wont be full. Variable Payout - It is supposed to be given in March but dont make any plans depending on it. coz in the last week they will come n say, boss, we wont be giving it this month n dont know when we will give it also. You will get it eventually after 3-4 motths Promotion n Onsite - If you are Manager's pet you will get it in 6months itself else they will show policy saying you have to spend two years to become eligible for it. Basically forget about these things. Transfer - According to their statistics, if over 75% of the employees quits in less than 6 months if the employee goes to any place other than Kochi n TVM. so you are stuck in TVM or Kochi only. If you want transfer, quit company Language - Even in meetings(internal/onsite) they will use Malayalam. It doesnt matter if there are people who dont understand Malayalam. So if you dont know Malayalam you will feel its better to go for lunch n tea breaks alone coz they will never speak something that you will understand. Politics - This is Very High, as high as the Mount Everest. They will use you a scapegoat to fill their ego's. Beware of this. Policy Changes - They will just notify you that things have changed, wont ask you. Some of them were, no cellphones, no internet, no office mails/ chat messenger, Delay in Variable pays/ salary, and everything that is needed for the employee.

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
