Pros

Overall, it was great working for the US Grant. A team that truly liked one another and the focus of serving their customers and curating lasting memories.

Cons

Long hours and often random.

Pros

The associates are professional, dedicated and in general go above and beyond. They are what makes this place special. There is opportunity to grow in a career if you make it clear you want to move up and you are mature, responsible and dedicated. Being a silent shining star will get you no where. The decor and environment is amazing. Managed by starwood, which is a great company to work for. Amazing hotel benefits if you like to travel which are extended to family and friends.

Cons

This is a luxury collection hotel that was recently renovated. It is beautiful but the capital is not being invested to maintain a high level of luxury. A lot of corners being cut to make budget. Managed very lean with labor costs, so teams are always understaffed and when hotel is at 95% occupancy or more the staff is overworked. Pay is competitive but for the level of guest expectation the staff should be paid more. Much easier to work at the Westin across the street and make the same if not more. If you think this will just be a fun summer part time job think again. Part-time quickly becomes full-time hours whether you like it or not. There is something about this place that is difficult for people to leave. You will wake up 10 years later and still be working here!
