Pros
- worked anywhere between 0 and 30 hours a week; had completely flexibility with hours - only requirement was to finish binders (with housing assignments) within 2 week deadlines - decent pay for the location (State college) - crew leaders and next level management were always friendly, helpful and accommodating to our work needs, etc (since this was a part-time job for most of us)
Cons
- people are nonresponsive to Census at times; face rejection occasionally - higher management is completely lost; the orders to count 40,000+ residents at Penn state were given within the last month of the school semester; consequently they had no idea what they were doing and didn't even know enough to give us the names of people who didn't respond to the census. therefore we had to go to every single housing unit to recount every student (many of whom were rightfully frustrated since they had already completed their census form on time)
