Pros
You work alone most of the time, get to make your own hours and take whatever days off you want as long as you get your assignments done in a timely manner. The pay scale wasn't too bad either. I had a chance to meet some great people from all over my area as well.
Cons
The only real downside was the fact that I was only employed with them for a little more than a month. They hired twice as many people as were needed, thinking that some of them would quit. Many were unemployed at the time, however, so not as many quit. My crew was supposed to have our area done within 8 weeks, but it took us less than 2. The main reason why the field work didn't last so long was the fact that the hand held computers made the work very easy to do, and as I mentioned, there were twice as many people as were needed.
