Smart, thoughtful, kind work environment

Difficult to advance because of strict hiring and promoting policies

UNCTAD's mission is great and its work on economic development and trade is a nice contrast to what other trade organizations do. Most of the staff are really nice.

Depending on where you work your experience will be different — every division is different. For all the brilliant, hard-working people there, there are also people who want to do just the bare minimum to get by. People get very much into status quo mindset.
