Pros

Some hardworking individuals, people trying to do a good job

Cons

UL says they are an ethical company, and that leaders should act with integrity. The opposite is true. Leaders direct and encourage employees to ignore corporate policies and requirements, and threaten them if they speak up. Management hides problems from leadership, and communication to employees about goals and plans is nonexistent. Employee ideas are ignored and management dictates what's going to be done, based on approaches that are 20 years behind the times.

UL’s reputation for integrity is earned every day through the individual decisions we make, in matters large and small. Every employee is responsible for ethical conduct at UL, and any violations of our Standards, UL policies, laws or regulations need to be reported to local management, UL’s Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer or UL’s Global Ethics Helpline. We rely on hardworking individuals like yourself to uphold our ethical principles and values. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Strong brand reputation and credibility in the marketplace. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in sales, compliance, testing, certification, and regulatory industries. Friendly, knowledgeable, and collaborative colleagues who are willing to help each other succeed. Good work-life balance compared to many sales organizations. Stable business with diverse industries and customers. Professional development opportunities and exposure to complex customer challenges.

Cons

Typical large-company bureaucracy can slow decision-making and execution. Internal processes and approvals may require patience and persistence. Organizational complexity can sometimes create challenges when navigating cross-functional initiatives. Career progression may occasionally depend on understanding and adapting to corporate dynamics.
