Pros
Benefits are great. 401k takes the cake and unlimited PTO is mostly good. Depending on the position you have the option to work fully remote.
Cons
Ultimate software was the best place I ever worked. “People First” included employees and your opinion and inputs were taken into consideration; I couldn’t wait to get started on my next shift. Post-Merger, I dread coming into work everyday. The company got rid of all the great things about Ultimate Software and is now just Kronos rebranded as “UKG”. The two companies are still very much divided and your experience as an employee is vastly different depending on which side you’re on. If you’re especially unfortunately, you’ll get a role that is a mix of the two and live in constant stress and confusion as the two companies have very different views and ways of doing things. Your opinion at the company (no matter your tenure) no longer matters. It’s become a straight forward, ‘This is how it’s done, this is how we’ve always done it, and this is how we will continue to do things’. Many roles are condensing into call center roles where you are simply a number. It wouldn’t surprise me if my manager doesn’t know everyone’s name on their team and certainly knows nothing about me aside from my name and how many cases/calls I take. Many of the positive reviews on this site are likely from those in Legacy Ultimate Software roles as there is next to nothing positive with the Legacy Kronos roles. Even the company’s best perk, ‘Unlimited PTO’ is misleading as there is still many blackout dates and limited amount of people that can be off on the same day.
