Cons
1. PTO depends on manager and so unlimited PTO is a joke. My manager was absolutely adamant at not granting me required PTOs even though I gave multiple options. This is coming from an employee who did not take a total of even 8 days off for last 1.5 years in the company. Believe me I was requesting PTOs to visit my family who were in severely ill due to COVID. 2. Manager would be unavailable multiple times during the standup, and the. day you are unavailable you will be asked to give an explanation. I have always explained before the standup and a night before as well why I will not be part of standup. Last 1.5 year in the company - I missed standup just 5 times and always informed before. 3. Manager accusing of keeping camera off in meetings ??? Was there a video meeting, sorry I do not see anyone using their camera - why me being singled out ? 4. BA not sure of the story and when you ask the manager (who created the story) to explain - you are being told for disturbing people. 5. And after all this - manager is not ready to give PTO because there will be stress in the team :) 6. I was even accused of misleading the manager for requesting the PTOs. This happens when you make junior people manager who do not actually have experience handling the team. I do not know if they have pressure from the top management or is it something they always do.
