Pros

The best bosses one could ask. Higher pay for special collection assistants than just working at the circulation desk. Flexible work hours. Working on a variety of projects that are great especially for those who like arts and crafts. Always learning something new and interesting while on the job.

Cons

This job often requires meticulous attention to detail or patience with monotonous tasks. This does not personally bother me, but this kind of job may not be for everyone.

Pros

Worked at the Geology Library, had an amazing supervisor and coworkers who supported my career development and respected my busy student schedule when it came to assigning work shifts. The best on-campus job at UCLA!

Cons

There was a requirement of working one weekend shift per quarter and one holiday but the staff were very flexible in splitting up this shift or finding something that could work for you :)

Pros

Flexible hours, kind staff & great pay for the work. Lots of time to do homework during slow hours.

Cons

Super nepotistic... If you aren't recommended by someone on staff, you won't get an interview.
