Pros

Culture of putting patients first Good retirement and health benefits, but very poor maternity leave options

Cons

1. Minimal maternity leave - 6 weeks of short term disability at 60-70% with option to supplement with PTO is offered. This is significantly less than other companies nationwide. The maternity leave option is a bare minimum and UCHealth avoids providing an true maternity benefit by having new mothers use short term disability. The poor maternity leave is a strong reason that I would consider leaving the organization and would discourage young professionals from working here if they are looking to start a family. The reality of the current option is that new mothers are rushed back to work prematurely, likely with a new baby in day care and no PTO left for Dr. appt or illness since there is no separate sick time or family leave time. 2. Very poor support for continuing education for our rehab clinical staff.

Pros

High Acuity patients Maintain Skillset Job security

Cons

Too many patients in a day and not enough time to spend with them. Minimal admin time to manage InBasket and patient needs. Frequently need to juggle a full and complex patient schedule with urgent test results and care coordination. Have to use personal PTO to cover holidays and any time the clinic is closed due to circumstances outside of our control. (weather, power outages, etc) Annual performance Bonuses are now being determined by online patient feedback scores.
