Pros
You work with great people, get quarterly communication from upper management, and as long as your numbers are hit the job can be very flexible.
Cons
They claim to "match salary to your location," but the salary is hilariously under market rate; like roughly 65% of the low end of the curve for my region, and I've heard similar from others. Not only do annual increases not keep pace with inflation, even promotion increases don't keep pace with inflation. Going from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer is an increase of roughly 3-5%. Going from SSE to tech or team lead? Also a 3-5% increase. They do try to sell you on it by saying your bonus structure improves, but I can't exactly pay my bills by planning around a bonus. They don't offer any real training or certification assistance/reimbursement. They're also going overboard on outsourcing work to the Philippines. While lower management has been consistently fantastic, they're not empowered to make any changes, and the decisions of middle to upper management make it clear that they don't value their bottom line. Hard work is rewarded with higher expectations, and nothing else.
