Pros

The firm did do a good job having monthly events for employees and also themed holiday events.

Cons

I would not recommend working at Truist. During my short time there, I was expected to perform at a full 100% capacity after only two months in the role while still being in what should have been an on boarding and training period. The expectations felt unrealistic and did not allow adequate time to properly learn the role or succeed. I do understand that experiences can vary depending on the department, so this may not be the case for everyone. However, in my situation, there were also concerns around transparency. When I first joined the company, the expectation was four days in the office. After only about three weeks, this changed to five days a week. It appeared that senior leadership was already aware this change was coming but did not disclose it during the hiring process.Based on my experience, I would strongly suggest being very cautious and considering other financial institutions that may offer more realistic expectations, transparency, and better support for new employees.

Pros

Great benefits and pay with very good training programs, lots of opportunities for growth

Cons

The culture struggles to figure itself out after the big merger. Lots of senior employees were bitter about younger/new hires getting paid well. Lots of dealing with hierarchal mindsets that get in the way of the actual work.
