Pros

True North has an amazing culture - the people are caring and compassionate, and dedicated to helping others. Everyone is incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a very positive work environment. True North is family owned, and one can feel that in the amazing customer service and outstanding client outcomes. I recommend True North to anyone seeking fulfilling work!

Cons

There are no cons to True North. Wilderness therapy is an inherently challenging field, and longevity is hard. Self care is key in bringing the best version of oneself to work every day.

Pros

It is a job that allows you a full scope of care which I appreciated allowing you to be close with the kids in a setting where you really learn about mental illness/behavior patterns/ etc. It was a well run program. They seemed to truly care about the kids and it provided me with life experience/learning/lessons/relationships that I will carry with me forever.

Cons

Hard work/life balance. Seemed split between two worlds, world at home and world at work. Extreme amounts of responsibility, which can be positive but you must be up for the task.
