Coworkers are good people and are fun to meet up with.
Good social events, Christmas party in Banff
Cons
Takes the cheapest route for equipment. Don't even try asking for IT equipment as it'll just be shot down.
What management says goes, no discussion or listening to feedback from employees.
Out of date PTO and health care benefits... 3 sick days per year.
Don't bother asking for training, unless a client is requesting it.
Weak project structures and QA processes usually lead to most projects having dissatisfied clients and throwing employees under the bus.
Management has a very strong desire to hire the right people with the right corporate culture. The word "team" is appropriate for the atmosphere.
I found the work / life balance very good. I have recommended friends to join True North.
Cons
If you want a downtown location this is not the best location. True North is located in SE Calgary.
