Pros
I have had tremendous learning opportunities since starting to work here. I haven't been bored a single day. We also have the chance to work on pressing public policy issues that affect the health of the environment and communities - so the work is rewarding! There is a real sense of teamwork here and a lack of competitiveness amongst employees. There is a high standard for work and I have really improved my writing, communication, and graphic facilitation skills since starting here. The company is really good and being flexible with your workload based on your interests or outside-of-work commitments.
Cons
Triangle is implementing a diversity, equity, and anti-racism plan. However, the company remains relatively undiverse with mainly white women on staff. Management is aware of this issue and is committed to addressing the root causes of our lack of diversity. Another "con" for some might be the intensity of the work - this is not the type of job where you can daydream during a meeting or casually chat with coworkers throughout the day. Everyone is really focused here.
