Pros

There are no Pros...If you need a job, you need to look elsewhere. They found me when I was unemployed and it seemed like a life raft had been thrown to me but was I mistaken...The principals of the very small company, operate out of the their homes. The president is very convincing of how great an opportunity you have and where the company is going and how you will be part of it all... However, you will quickly find it's all blowing sunshine up your butt and there is no loyalty to you for anything you've done. It's all about "The Client" who doesn't care about you either. You could sign the biggest account in the world and then go 21 days without a sale and find yourself out on the street without a job. In other words, you could sign one account a month that would pay more than the total of someone signing 3/week for the entire month and they would rather have the other person. Makes no sense, right? There was another company, that had an identical business model to Trelevate. They provided an out sourced sales force for an energy company. It was practically an identical salary and commission and everything. They shuffle people around tiny territories every couple months until they have saturated the market. Then one day they fired everyone...every single person was let go. It will only take a couple of years to do that in your market and then everything you thought you built comes crashing down...SEE BELOW

Cons

The number one reason you will not keep this job: You will not be allowed to go re-sign YOUR existing customer, that YOU made a relationship with, when it is time for them to renew. THEY ARE STEALING YOUR PIPELINE. The Client will then handle all renewals from in-house, now nice. A sales job with no renewals or repeat business, are you kidding me?? How long can you last being shuffled around a different territory, that someone just went through mind you, all while having to make new connections constantly?? You can't and you won't. Just pray you do well enough for them to put you into their smoke and mirrors CDP (career development program) so you can get the opportunity to open a new office and be a part of the scam yourself. It's a burn and turn environment and they don't care. And they won't train you with current events in the power and gas industry, it's strictly rah rah go out there and get them b.s. MY ADVICE: IF YOU ARE A CURRENT TRELEVATE EMPLOYEE, TAKE YOUR PIPELINE AND GO TO AN ENERGY BROKER WHERE YOU GET RESIDUALS ON YOUR ACCOUNTS FOR EVERY YEAR YOU SIGN THEM. THAT IS A TRUE CAREER OPPORTUNITY WHERE YOU CAN BUILD ON YOUR PIPELINE FOR THE FUTURE. OH, AND YOU WILL ALSO FIND THEY HAVE BETTER RATES FOR THAN YOU DID. OF COURSE YOU CAN'T COMPETE WITH A BROKER WHEN YOU'RE A ONE TRICK PONY AND YOUR TRICK ISN'T AS GOOD AS THE COMPETITION'S. IF YOU ARE NOT A CURRENT TRELEVATE EMPLOYEE, CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY! AND START SEEKING EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE...THIS IS A DEAD END JOB ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE PEOPLE WHO JUST STARTED WORKING THERE, IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME BEFORE YOU GET TO SEE THE WIZARD BEHIND THE CURTAIN. LEARN FROM THOSE WHO CRASHED AND BURNED BEFORE YOU AND RUN!

Thank you for your feedback. I am choosing to respond to this so long after the post because yes, when we first started, we did work from home to keep costs down so we could put more money into our training, employees and services. Because we grew so much, several years ago, corporate moved into office space in Phoenix. Since that initial move, we've had to move into even a larger space because of growth. As for our CDP program, as of now, 47% of our managers came through from a sales consultant position. We also earned a spot on the INC 5000 fastest growing companies list 2 years in a row as well as a best places to work award. I only point this out as much learning and growing has taken place since our inception and we are only looking to improve even more! Best of luck to you in your career!

Pros

One of the things I've appreciated most about working at Trelevate is how much the leadership genuinely cares about people at every level of the organization. From my experience, the president, vice president, and leadership team are approachable, supportive, and intentional about investing in their employees. They don't view people as numbers—they take the time to build relationships, encourage growth, and help individuals succeed both professionally and personally. Trelevate has created a culture where employees are valued, supported, and challenged to become better versions of themselves. The company invests heavily in training and development and strives to be more than just a workplace. It feels like a place where people can build meaningful careers while continuing to grow as leaders. I've also seen firsthand how committed the company is to promoting from within. Through my work helping with social media and internal communications, I've watched numerous employees earn promotions and advance their careers. There are genuine opportunities for growth, and leadership actively looks for ways to help people take the next step. Additionally, many of our roles involve business-to-business sales, which develops valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that benefit employees well beyond their current position.

Cons

Trelevate is a performance-driven environment, so success requires initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Those looking for a highly structured role with little personal accountability may find the environment challenging. Beyond that, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and it is difficult to identify significant drawbacks given the culture, support, and opportunities the company provides.

Pros

Thorough Training, Managers who care, Support Staff who work hard for me, and Coaching from Leaders who have Done the job and Excelled at it! I wanted to learn skills that would not be replaced with AI or technology- and I've found it!

Cons

The thing that challenges me the most, is not allowing mediocre results to become the norm or accept being just good enough. This company will challenge you to stretch and grow in your skill and professionalism. Some people may struggle with constantly having to learn- I have learned how to embrace my career growth!
