Pros

Working at Trees for the Future was very satisfying due to the mission of working with people in rural communities in the developing world to plant trees and improve their lives. The work allows the employees to feel they are making a difference in the world and improving people's lives.

Cons

Small non-profit with limited resource, can make the job difficult. Recent change in management can make for a problematic work environment. Small salary is not competitive for the type of work and experience level required.

Pros

Mission-Driven Environment: Working at Trees for the Future was incredibly fulfilling. Being part of an organization focused on environmental sustainability and community impact gave me a deep sense of purpose. • Professional Growth: I learned a lot during my time there especially in areas like sustainable agriculture, community development, and nonprofit program implementation. The experience broadened my perspective and helped me develop both technical and interpersonal skills. • Collaborative Team Culture: The team was passionate, supportive, and deeply committed to the cause. I appreciated the opportunity to work alongside people who genuinely care about the impact of their work.

Cons

• Compensation: Unfortunately, the pay did not reflect the level of responsibility and workload. While I valued the experience and growth, the compensation made it difficult to sustain long-term. • Limited Advancement Opportunities: There were few clear paths for upward mobility or significant pay increases, which made it challenging to see a long-term career trajectory within the organization.
