Pros

My fellow employees are great and the work is not difficult. Basic cashier and customer service skills needed. Area is safe. Customers are usually nice, as long as buses are reasonably on time and not canceled. Perk of being able to ride the NYC bus for free is nice. Owners show appreciation to their staff with a nice Christmas lunch out, a Summer Picnic day, occasionally buys the office pizza and monthly birthday cake, which is very nice.

Cons

Pay is slightly below average. Computer systems, programs and equipment are old and completely outdated. Lots of duplication of work because of this. Lots of room for human error and that is frustrating. No formal training given at all. Management does not seem to trust the staff with even the simplest of tasks, like typing out their own envelopes, getting supplies, ect. This is very discouraging. Choice of Ticket Office "uniforms" does not do its job of creating a nice, professional, uniform look to the public. They are not professional looking at all. Hard to retain good people with these types of issues, but some of the people who have been there a long time are true treasures and have been great to work with.
