Pros

- great cycling perks - smart employees - mostly good vibes - interesting projects - flexible schedule, remote

Cons

- culture of mistrust and fear - interactions with executives is abusive, disrespectful, and negative - high turnover in key positions - almost no diversity, no effort to improve diversity - company is getting even less diverse with lots of recent exits - low salaries, no stock options for employees - employees penalized for asking for raises - no career paths or plans - no professional development for non-executives - executives ignore employees expertise and feedback - executives never accountable, blame employees and stoke fear - good work is taken for granted

Pros

Benefits are unmatched: - No work Fridays - Unlimited PTO (and they mean it) - Work from home (company is entirely remote) - Great people to work with The code stack is somewhat modern, though nothing cutting edge. Mostly easy to work with, aside from a few legacy outliers. Everyone there is super skilled and easy to work with. The only downside is, I wish I were closer to everyone to actually hang out in person.

Cons

Projects are very chaotic with unclear direction. The general process seems to be a telephone effect from the CEO to the PMs to the engineers. The team tries to build the intended behavior, but then it changes or is miscommunicated and changed. Upper management is unbudging on this style of process, but I'm not sure anyone that does the work actually enjoys it. Eventually work gets completed, but after much iteration and tech debt.
