To our former Lexington employee – We’d like to address these serious accusations. While we acknowledge that roles in the transportation industry are not an obvious career choice for us (yes, I’m a woman), women are some of our most successful brokers at TQL and we work hard to maintain a diverse workforce. As the broker position is an entry-level sales position, we do have many applicants who are early in their careers. This is true of any sales-driven company. Perhaps it felt like a frat house to you, but many employees appreciate the energy that brings to the company. Also, our Lexington team has a great history of successful women. Just in the last few months, we have had another woman move into sales management, we have a sales rep who is a key player in our national "Women In Logistics" group, another female recruiter has been promoted twice in less than a year, and best of all a woman who was one of only a handful of founding members to launch the Lexington office in late 2011 has now moved on to another city to lead and open an office of her own.
