Pros
The work was simple and straightforward to understand
Cons
Where to even begin! The lack of understanding and compassion I found at this company is genuinely shocking. As a neurodivergent person who struggles with many aspects of daily life, I thought I'd found a good workplace that would be kind and respectful to me! However all I found at this company was judgement and discrimination. Something as simple as me asking the radio to be turned down a little as I was getting overwhelmed by the frankly ridiculous volume levels right next to my desk (Sorry, I can't say MY desk, I got scolded for this also) and struggling to work. When I communicated this to my team leader, I was met with "I'm not gonna turn it down just for you". This attitude was because I was a part time worker, as the company failed to pass along the fact I had extra difficulties to my team leader. Yet another thing he felt the need to berate me for. Saying things such as "I'm a team leader, not a doctor" which I still can't entirely figure out what he even meant by that? But it felt very disrespectful and rude when I'm just trying to communicate my needs. I was also told "it's an adult workplace" as if my disabilities somehow make me a child? There were plenty of other issues too, but I think this will suffice for my review! All in all, if you face any kinds of difficulties, autism, neurodivergence, mental health issues (Which they claim to be oh so supportive with) avoid this awful company like the plague!
