Pros

Great people to work with

Cons

Lack of leadership Moral of company is very low. The average employee length is probably 1-2 years max (most quit). There is no communication and all decisions are made secretively. HR walks around like everything is perfect when in reality, people are always worried and expecting someone to quit each week. The list goes on but that's a good starting point.

Pros

Hard work gets recognized. I've been here a year and seen about a dozen people promoted. Other companies hire to fill openings, but Tolteq promotes from within. Tolteq has many smart, hard-working people there and it's a pleasure to work with them on a daily basis. Oil and gas is a good industry to be in President comes to work everyday and is an engineer

Cons

Deadlines can be aggressive but that's fairly typical in commercial engineering

Pros

Tolteq has been in business for a while and offers a stable job in an unstable industry. There are many great people to work with and learn from. Most employees are team players and eager to help. The medical and dental benefits are acceptable for a company this size and they match 4% of your 401K contributions. They are located on a large piece of land with a jogging trail, disc golf course, and outdoor kitchen area.

Cons

Employee retention and morale is the worst I've experienced in any company. The HR manager does not appear to understand the importance of employee retention and is quick to dismiss employee suggestions that might actually make the company a better place to work. Tolteq lacks focus and direction which sometimes creates a chaotic work environment. Lack of communication between departments is a serious problem. The business development side of the company often makes arbitrary decisions without seeking input from the engineering team. This makes it difficult to provide customers with a quality experience.
