Pros
They are willing to hire people with zero experience and are willing to train. The training is excellent. Excellent clients.
Cons
Attorney work product goes through *endless* rounds of reviews before getting filed, making it frustrating to get work filed. Multiple reviewers are usually involved and the final review is a "stream of consciousness" review. It is common for him to ask you to add some language to an application or office action response in a first review and then ask you to remove it in a subsequent review. There is a lot of tinkering with the billing numbers that occurs. Attorneys are treated horribly, much worse than the administrative staff. The systems for docket management etc. are antiquated. Don't bother trying to find your own clients as the firm wants to own them. No 401k plan. Cheap health benefits. Extremely high attorney turnover. Ask around in Texas, and you will find many who worked at Toler and can corroborate these comments. WARNING: all the positive reviews here were written by the management of this firm.
