Pros
Some of the most friendly people I've ever worked with! People were considerate, laidback, and outgoing, but also on task and always willing to help patrons; there's a strong company culture, and it shows. My going away party was the saddest thing I've ever experienced when even people who only said hi to me on a daily basis came to support me. If you're organized, friendly, and hardworking, this is the place for you. My job also gave me quite a bit of independence. If not for my leaving for college, I would have been promoted to a clerk and had a higher salary. There was also the nice factor of people always sticking out for each other, like walking each other to our cars to make sure everyone was safe. Added bonus if you're a book lover, but won't read on the job.
Cons
Some of the downright strangest patrons came in. You really have to be patient with people and be able to stand some of the weird stuff that goes down in public areas/free services buildings. If you're not used to heavy work, this could be bad for you, but if you're willing to learn and improve, you get used to the weird things and gain a tolerance.
