Pros

Remote work, decent salary and benefits. The folks working here are also very kind and always eager to help each other.

Cons

In the past year, the introduction of AI at all costs have really demoralized a lot of folks in my team. It’s purely performative, to show that you are using it in your work, with no concern for accuracy or overall quality. It’s all about do it faster, so we can show that our investments in these AI tools are “worth it”. My work quality has drastically decreased because of AI. And that’s mainly because at my team, the most important thing is to be fast and meet deadlines instead of well thought out plans and deliverables. Every single meeting, be at your team level or at the company level, sounds like an AI church, where all they talk about is AI and how good it is, without any concern for how it’s affecting the workers morale and the current state of the world because of these companies.

Pros

Remote work, company shut down for the holidays.

Cons

Gross misalignment between pay rate and expectations. What they call Trust and Safety is basically being the referee between two emotional parties and chasing down people for basic documentation. If you want to use your investigative background to arbitrate on a paint color or the grass cut too short, all for under 60K a year you will be in the right place. Feels like a school playground, but you are QA’d for it. Let’s talk about QA. Managers do it. Yup, not biased at all. But hey, if you work really really hard and exceed expectations, you can count on a 3% raise below inflation rate, because the company wants to remain competitive. With who? Poverty? Now open wide, here’s a big scoop of AI !!! AI AI AI AI all day. Like a cult. Mind you, these AI tools are not helpful at all in your daily work, and the company did not foresee that users would also use AI to beat us at our own game. As an investigator, I am now basically an AI moderator and a playground referee. They want us to let AI monitor our work and launched AI tools that basically do our work, calling them Agents too. Leadership has not reassured worried employees on that topic once. Finally, I have never been so tracked in my work. You have to change status all the time on the platform, give access to screen recording, AI case observer etc. It’s a stressful subpar position acting like they pay you 6 figures.
