Pros

A great brand, some great products. The Reuters principles and the works of the Reuters Foundation are inspiring. Great employee and workplace benefits and in some divisions (not all!) some flexible practices enabling a great work life balance.

Cons

Short sighted strategy. The Answer Company doesn't know if it's a software or content organisation and doesn't seem to have the answers to its own identity challenges and questions. A slow organisation where decisions are taken at the very top. Outsourcing and restructuring have driven and forced talent to leave. The constant cycle of reorganisation affects employee morale despite a company-wide attempt to instil a sense of belonging by implementing various employee workshops including some odd sort of in office meditation. Excruciating.

Pros

Great environment and people. Lots of overtime available and bonuses during busy season.

Cons

I really enjoyed this job so the only con I can think of is that it is seasonal.

Pros

The people you directly work with will rock and you will most likely have a manager who cares.

Cons

AI usage requirements. 3 days in office/week requirements. They have recently started watching our git contributions as well. It feels like constantly you are one stat away from being put on a PIP. Along with all that, they handled ICE misusing their product so poorly it makes me embarrassed to work here.
