Pros

This is a great place to start if you're looking to learn the basics of working in a business environment. You get experience with CRM systems and pick up on a lot of everyday business communication and terminology pretty quickly. One of my favorite parts of the job is the exposure to different business owners within the space. By interacting with them on the daily, it gives you real-world insight that you wouldn’t typically get in most entry-level roles. Management is accessible and present, which makes a noticeable difference compared to more corporate environments. PTO offering is more generous than what you usually see at this level.

Cons

Because it’s a smaller company, there are naturally fewer opportunities for upward mobility unless you’re specifically interested in growing into a sales or operations role. For some positions, the day-to-day responsibilities can feel a little repetitive and limited over time if you're looking for a long-term career path with multiple advancement options.

Pros

There is a lot of room for growth and you truly learn all the aspects and inner workings of businesses, both by working with the company and by getting to know each member that offices with WorkLodge. I've been with the company for over two years and have been able to get to know so many wonderful people. The owners are very invested in the growth of their employees and within their community. I come from a corporate background and was bogged down and stunted in my career rather quickly. You soon begin to feel demoralized. With this company, you're making a difference and helping to change lives. The very core and DNA of WorkLodge is just that. You certainly don't have boring days. I've appreciated the opportunity to expand my skill set and utilize critical thinking each and every day. There is even a program setup for employees to expand their career growth. The owners are very innovative- always thinking of ways to improve both the product and the experience for the customer. It's necessary in the world of entrepreneurs, and creates a fast-paced environment that promotes constant improvement, even creativity.

Cons

I've put thought into this question and can't think of a valid con. This type of environment requires the ability to adapt and think quickly, stay organized, and manage your time well. Even with an entry level position, you're held to this expectation.

Pros

Management took great care in providing a service customers would enjoy. They always tried to do the right thing not taking the easy way out. If you're a hard worker this is the place for you. The owner had a very strong vision and it wasn't always easy getting there or getting it right, but when you did it was worth it. Great sense of accomplishment. The members could also see when things were running smoothly and they weren't shy to speak their minds. It felt great to hear their praises and made us work harder when things didn't go as smoothly as we'd hoped.

Cons

I started when the business was about 1 year old. There weren't a lot of procedures and processes that were documented so as a new employee coming in there was a lot to learn. On the bright side my team members were smart and capable so learning on the job and getting the processes set up wasn't that difficult. I also held and did a lot of different jobs around the company. Sometimes this was difficult for me to manage.
