Pros
If I were going to be a consultant anywhere, I'd come to SixPivot as they care about every aspect of employee engagement and relentlessly strive to make it a great workplace. It's remote first, which has always been the case, so they do remote work exceptionally. Everyone on the team is great to work with, it's small enough you get to know everyone, but large enough to be able to get help and learn from others.
Cons
Being a Software Development Consultant can have downsides such as being moved around to clients you don't always have the best experience with, but you never get stuck somewhere you are not happy for too long.
