Pros

As an employee of Navicor from nearly the start of the Philadelphia office, I have witnessed a meteoric rise of an agency full of passion and commitment to its employees, clients, and oncology patients, caregivers, and associations. Our growth has been tremendous over the last 3 years, highlighted by being Med Ad News Agency of the Year in 2017. With that growth comes certain challenges, such as staffing, talent-to-task, office space, and operational efficiencies, to name a few. But being resilient through all of those growing pains produces a sense of pride in the work we do, the culture we create, and most important, an awareness of the employees we want to attract. It also comes with perspective and realization that these growing pains are actually a good thing because we do incredible work and more and more clients value us as partners and want to work with us. Good challenges to have and certainly better than the opposite. Navicor has grown in headcount and revenue year over year since the inception of the Philadelphia office 3 years ago and continues to grow. Not many agencies can say that. Navicor has an exceptional success rate in winning new business, as over 75% of our pitches come our way. This speaks to the top-notch talent and impressive senior management team that is second to none in oncology. Not many agencies can say that. Navicor cares about the work we do and actively participates in and drives oncology fundraising efforts in Philadelphia. Not many agencies can say that. Navicor strives to promote from within. Employees who rise to the occasion and deliver exceptional work and results and do so with professionalism are rewarded. In 2017 there were 6 internal promotions (2 men and 4 women), and in 2018 there were 6 internal promotions (1 man and 5 women). So within 2 years, nearly 25% of the staff were promoted for doing great work and making a positive contribution. Not many agencies can say that. Navicor is part of an incredibly nimble network of talent under Syneos Health that can provide solutions for any industry challenge thrown our way. Not many agencies can say that. The takeaway—if you are passionate and a hard worker who truly cares about what you do and desires to help others in the oncology space…if you have the resiliency and adaptability to join a growing organization destined for success and year-over-year growth…if you truly want to have an impact in being a part of and shaping the culture…if you want to work in the most prestigious disease state of oncology…and if you want to produce great work and advance your career, Navicor may be the place for you.

Cons

As mentioned previously, the current challenges are a reflection of the extraordinary growth.

Pros

An agency truly devoted to its passion in oncology of turning products into brands and patients into survivors. Many of the staff don't just think of Navicor as a place of work or a job - but as a commitment, which motivates me every day. Passionate, hard working group of employees that are constantly committed and care about the quality of work they deliver to their clients. Work hard, play hard mentality - we may have late nights and tough deadlines at times, but also treat each other as a family and enjoy eachothers' company outside of work. The management team is dedicated to teaching their staff and coaching us all how to work together as a team. "Everybody is an idea person". This is a key value that the management team shares and spreads amongst the agency.

Cons

Expanding so quickly has led to some growing pains among departments, but we've learned to work together and collaborate. Everyone wants to see the company continue to succeed and is a part of its current rapid success. It's inspiring to be a part of such a great culture.

Pros

Most of the people who work there are generally sweet and kind people who want to do some great work

Cons

The same issues which have been called out by many other reviews. executives in the company mention they "want to turn the ship around", yet they make no effort to do so. There is no respect from boss to employee. I have seen many break downs in the bathroom of people who would quit at the drop of a hat (some have) if they had a secured position elsewhere. Unfortunately, they are worked to death because of disorganization of disrespectful bosses, and they have no time to look for other opportunities. The lack of respect even goes so far as the senior management won’t mention to its employees that a clinical trial which a drug is dependent on had failed. Employees who worked on it had to find out from sources outside of the organization, resulting in those people looking foolish. Additionally, it should be mentioned that with every honest review of Navicor, the those running the ship convince current employees to write extremely positive reviews (often during office hours when others can hear). Those false positive reviews convince hesitant perspective employees to take a risk and come to the company. However, the truth does eventually come out. That lead to the high turnover rate that Navicor is famous for.
