      Interesting work and opportunity to meaningfully impact policies to make them more equitable and work with a diverse and committed staff. Learned and grew a lot, grew as an advocate, and made strong friendships and personal connections.

      Was sometimes a little challenging to navigate some of the internal leadership decisions and dynamics

      Pros

      Been able to grow from entry level to leadership in a reasonable amount of time with lots of support, mentorship and good management. I have a lot of control and strategic direction over my workplan and day to day activities. Love the people I work with, very passionate, good at their jobs, and fun to work with.

      Cons

      Normal nonprofit stuff. But way better off than most - financially stable, good systems/structures, and great staff
