Pros
Great staff who generally get on well together
Managers are down to earth and seldom undermine staff, always have time to discuss issues raised
Very little trouble in the bar
Work isn't terribly difficult
Always paid on time
Cons
Minimum wage employer - there are no rates for a job, wages based on age
No official training - very much a sink or swim mentality
Communication between departments is not the best and staff get very mixed messages about policies
Very difficult to access HR information - holidays, contracts, pay
Managers don't seem to always be able to make decisions or use their initiative, this is the same for staff
Staff aren't treated equally in regards to promotions, pay, holidays and disciplinary - one rule for one employee can be different for others
Obsession with appeasing certain difficult customers
