Pros
I thoroughly enjoyed working for The Distance and was sad to go. For me the benefits were:
* Diverse and friendly team
* Great office culture
* High spec equipment
* Ensured we had all equipment needed to work comfortably and efficiently at home
* Varied and interesting projects
* Regular social meet ups (pre covid)
* Well defined process for new business and lifecycle of project
* Learn a lot and gain a lot of experience through the variety of projects
* Training courses available to employees
* Regular company meetings on state of business and forum to express views and suggestions
* MD is very creative and active in the company which leads to an influx of interesting and industry varied projects
* Company take mental health and wellbeing very seriously, there was always someone I could talk to if needed
Cons
There's not many cons I can think of;
* Not a lot of time for learning/training during working hours, need to learn on your feet often - the plus side is you learn a lot and gain experience quickly, but can be a bit stressful
* Work pace is quite fast and varies on a daily basis - I enjoyed this, but it's not to everyone's taste
* During the pandemic, while WFH - Work-life balance could be hard to maintain, but management are approachable and empathetic.
* Perks package could be improved
