Pros
Benefits options. Great 9-5 Scheduling opportunities. If you give them your life though they will reward you for it. But just like devil, you’re trading your soul for riches.
Cons
Unfortunately so much more cons to this. Taking time off without meeting goals is impossible based on compensation rate. Emergency call system is horrible and disorganized which tbh can really put a hinder on your personal life. Some lead techs were on emergency call for a month or more because of staffing. They rely on maintenance only which makes sense till well there is only one person. I dove into the Connor group with a vast amount of business knowledge and from a business aspect they know how to pull in profits. As far as taking care of employees well that’s up to you. I did well and superseded my goals numerous times. The issue is the communication and the lack of structure. It’s just horrible, you have to ask questions to get answers, no open communication about updates and most the answers weren’t honest to begin with. I learned quick to focus on me, myself and I. I got into arguments with residents because management fails to inform residents the standards for an emergency call. Driving out of my way 3-4 times a day and not receiving adequate compensation even when I asked for more after creating a report on cost. Their Math and projections are always off and not realistic. Just to many false promises and I got tired of it after the lack of consistency. You have to be demanding otherwise they will walk all over you.
