Pros
At The Clearing you will have the opportunity to team with master facilitators who can run exceptional meetings that are intentional and oriented towards achieving outcomes. Meeting design will be a valuable skill that you will walk away with and apply elsewhere. It will be a valuable skill to have. Some staff at The Clearing are rock stars and if you are lucky to be in a team with them, you will learn about interesting and useful approaches to problem solving. Through ON projects you will have the opportunity to be involved in initiatives of interests and team with others outside your team.
Cons
The Clearing is poor at employee retention; a colleague once described the company as a revolving door. She was spot on. Sells services they don't master. For example, feedback. Management does not provide actionable and constructive feedback that contributes to professional development. The feedback given is not measurable against performance metrics. Salaries are not competitive compared to the market and promotions represent a 5K bump in annual salary. Accounts are siloed and most likely you will be locked in the team you are in, which does not provide a lot of mobility within the company, unless you bring business in. Your experience will most likely depend on the team you are brought in and the Principal/Sr. Principals running it.
