We are sorry, you felt bad about the company.
In the history of the entire company, we have had to let go only 2 members due to their performance in spite of multiple efforts trying to help them improve.
Yes, we do not follow any framework, we work on core technologies and hire our team members only if they are willing to work on any technology as the work needed, independent of framework or programming languages. To get anyone selected, they need to be really good in algorithms, logic and data-structures, should have enough confidence to pick up any new language or technology within a week to two.
Our attrition rate is very low, our team members usually leave due to personal obligations, higher studies, or get a very high jump mainly because of what they learn here. And in past, some of our members had stayed here with a minimal increment refusing more than double the salary. It is because of three things - work culture, continuous new learning and work satisfaction.
One thing is sure, we do not run the company to take up any project, we DO NOT believe in the business of inefficiency, we have refused many projects from the big banks and other sources in the past because they were not interesting. Instead, we take only those projects where we have the freedom to design and scale the product, we work as a development team for our clients and usually engage since the beginning when they are starting a new product.
I can understand why you might have felt bad at the time, but believe me, we had tried to get you to the pace for more than 8 months and a few times have directly told you. Also, we accepted a mid-year hike thinking that would help motivate you. Ultimately letting you go was good for you too, as at the time maybe you needed very less working hours and a repeat kind of work which would be less technically challenging. As almost 95% of the service companies or large product companies provide such a less-challenging work environment in India.
Our only feedback would be, whatever work you do give your 100% and take ownership, think as if it is your project/product and not the company's or someone's else product.
All the best and good luck.
