Good people, Low salary - Academic Advisor I Texas State Employee Review

Horrible pay, but this is par for the course in higher ed. I only recommend if you are willing and able to work for a low salary. Very little room for growth. You usually have to move to a different department if you want to grow. The work load is very heavy and many within the university overlook the importance of academic advisors.
