Pros
Tergar is committed to cultivating well-being and promoting human flourishing through meditation. My colleagues share this wish to bring comfort to the world and end suffering. It's very satisfying to work with people who share this lofty goal. Hearing back from the people we help through our programs and courses really makes me feel like the work I am doing makes a difference in the world. It is very gratifying work. We are encouraged to take time not just for vacation, but for personal retreat, and Tergar has a very generous policy for time off.
Cons
The team structure can sometimes lead to silos within the organization, and the work itself can be very demanding, especially at certain times of the year. Salaries are generally not as high as in the corporate world, but job satisfaction is much higher, in my personal experience.
