Pros
The technical challenges you find in this industry are possibly better than those at SpaceX or Tesla. We are testing the chips that go into those products. Work with some of the most talented people in multiple engineering fields. Teradyne's Management Business Practices have allowed us to succeed and prosper while nearly all of our competitors have lost sight of the ball and failed financially. ( I used to work for several of the competitors). When I get frustrated about a management decision, I always step back and reflect on this.
Cons
A bit of a BIG company. But not all off this is bad. They still think Lotus Notes adds value. (This seems to be finally changing). Manufacturing offshore/outsourced. Not all of this is bad, but the days where you could pop onto the manufacturing floor and look at problems immediately in person are going away. Good business decision likely, but hard if you are used to everything under one roof. This is not just a Teradyne issue, it's global, sometimes getting hands on requires an airplane trip somewhere.
