A cool product to manage

Not many, it was a great place to work

Since joining almost 5-years ago, I've seen the company evolve and grow. Our technology keeps evolving as does the client list of increasingly upscale hotels in the US and abroad. Companies that are experiencing the kind of growth Telkonet is, provide lots of opportunities for personal and professional development and the associated financial gain. There is not as much structure or processes as typically found in large companies, so the company is quite nimble and when needed can act quickly and decisively - to provide solutions that clients will embrace. This is the ideal environment for people who are self-starters who want to contribute to the growth and while they might need direction they don't need a lot of hand-holding. I think the management culture is best described as entrepreneurial, always willing to try new things and a place where good ideas are quickly embraced and adopted. The company really cares about its employees and works hard to build a cohesive team spirit where working is fun.

Not too much to say here. With growth come challenges and although the company has seen some staff turnover, the changes were mostly people who weren't performing, so the company is constantly trying to ensure the right people are in the right seat on the bus and all bought into a common direction with goals and targets that are aligned. I will be the first to admit that this place is not for everyone, people who need a lot of structure or constant hand-holding are not going to do well at Telkonet.
