Pros

Most of the co-workers I worked with were nice. The owner travels a fair amount. When she's gone Technology Therapy is actually an okay place to work.

Cons

I'm only posting a review to echo what seems to be the running theme with this company. The owner is an unreasonable, unprofessional bully. The work environment is extremely toxic and this is completely due to the owner. I can't stress enough that you should avoid working here at all costs. If you have other options, take those. Only take a job at this place if you are desperate. I would take a gap on my resume over working at this place.

Technology Therapy Response

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. We appreciate receiving meaningful constructive feedback from current and past employees. For the past nine months, Technology Therapy has been transforming based on the meaningful feedback we have received. Not only have we moved to a new location, but the structure of the organization has changed tremendously. Our new location provides account managers and developers with private offices to make client communication easier. Our new conference room makes team meetings easier and more inclusive. One of the major shifts in operations over the past few months has been a restructuring of onboarding new team members this includes better training, a department handbook and a clearer level of expectations from day one. These processes are now lead by team members who have been a large part of growing Technology Therapy. We all need a chance to grow, change and let go of the past to become better.

Pros

- A dedicated, passionate team that works seamlessly together to get things done. - Training that’s thorough and backed by accessible resources for ongoing development. - Professional, courteous staff who make the workplace both productive and enjoyable. - Ideal for proactive, organized individuals who thrive on learning and taking initiative. - Flexible hours and remote work that ensure a great work/life balance. - A queer-friendly space that fosters inclusivity and respect for all identities.

Cons

- The fast-paced, self-driven environment offers a lot of independence, but it might take some time to adjust for those who prefer more guidance or oversight. - As the company grows, some processes are still evolving, which presents opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Pros

Dog friendly. Snacks. General benefits and pay are decent-ish. Awesome co-workers with great talent. Paid overtime. HR lady is a sweetheart. If you're an entry level person, this is a good place to learn some ropes and jump to a different employer after a couple of months.

Cons

A workplace honed on fear and superiority. Other employees constantly expressed fear of being yelled at or fired on any given day. Though, that's not entirely it. If you were an undesired employee, you would be squeezed out through high school like antics of being left out of conversations or removed from clients until that employees decided to leave on their own--professional bullying, if you will. Communication is abhorrent. Everybody is responsible to a point, of course, but projects are constantly being dropped onto your lap. Client expectations and level of importance are always being changed depending on how much the client is paying (or hasn't paid). Out of scope items are always being dropped in by the management, pushing timelines of other projects back constantly. No way to stay on top of work that keeps coming in and being promised over other deadlines. You don't realize how much you miss having lunch breaks until you lose them. Remember that.
