Pros
Excellent work/life balance as long as you are efficient. Decent to good salary for the cost of living in the area. Excellent benefits package for families. Support and networking groups are available. Lots of opportunities to talk and work with customers if you ask.
Cons
Not many opportunities for upwards growth in the company. Commutes can be rough depending on where you live. Management can be hit and miss depending upon your department. Currently not growing engineering in the USA, it is likely that cuts will continue.
